what gas do you run
Wow... guys, the 2.4L was built to run 91 and up. Using anything LESS than 91 will cause problems, because our engine actually has to retard the timing to accomodate the lower octane. The LE5 has a 10.6:1 compression ratio making it perfect for 93 octane.
As for the sedan SS, it has the same engine. You will see increased performance, feel, and gas milage by switching up, and it will NOT damage the engine at this early a stage, in fact it will welcome the change.

Most of those brands of gas listed on that site sound more like second rate gas stations like speedway than top tier.
Mobil and BP are the big name gas stations around here and I would bet any money
their gas is better than some of those two-bit companies on that list.
I think its just a marketing gimimick by all of these small time gas stations to try
to sound like they have better gas than the big boys like BP and Mobil.

PS-GM, Toyota, and other car makers have done the experiments to develop this fuel, so it's been proven.
Hell yeah on the resurrection of this thread!
You could run 93 and be fine. The motor was built with it in mind... Read the manual. Plus, with a short ram intake on a hot day running 93 octane on the highway at 65 mph in 5th gear, i get sometihng like +36 mpg

Depends. If you drive like a crazy maniac and dont save gas like me and keep it in the higher RPM's for fun driving then yes it will be that low. But if you are driving normal then there is a problem. I can get 400 miles with 93 octane and GMPP short ram, pure highway mileage.

Thought I'd bring this back up (again....).. thought it'd be interesting to see if you guys have changed your octane selectons now that gasoline is over 4.00USD/gal?
I'm still runnng on Octane 93 although rarely I do get tempted to use 89
