Hey guys, I'm just curious. What kind of times do you think a 2.4 SS would run with these mods? Please separate 5-speed and auto, and coupe and sedan if possible. Also, does anyone have all of these mods?

Custom Tuning- HP Tuners
Lightweight underdrive pulley
CAI
Header w/downpipe
Cat-back
Maybe a ported throttle body/intake manifold?
Plus stuff to get rid of wheelhop, bushings etc.

I would think mid 14's with good traction. Anyone thought about cam's or ported head yet? I think it would be sweet if you guys could crack 13's N/A! So what do you think? What do you guys think it will take to reach 13's?

Well that's my list of mods I have posted on a few threads. Our biggest problem is wheel hop we've got 14s on power alone. I have the ZZperf. header and DP and 3 inch catless (ordered), as well as an 2.5 inch exhaust ready to go.

Rob (Fast06SS) is comng out to tweak the Vector tune for VVT and headers. On DRs I don't see why I can't crack 13s with no wheel hop and my car's weight.

To put things in perspective, BECAUSE OF WHEEL HOP even with 25-28psi in the front tires, I have to almost drive away at just above idle. If I can lay down a few 3-4K launches and get out of the hole..13s on DRs.

Good luck! Do you have the underdrive pulley as well?

GTP you should look into those traction bars someone posted about in the suspension forum. They were supposed to kill wheel hop dead.

After talking with Rob, I am ordering the Intense lower tranny mounts, and the a arm bushings. That was all we agreed should be necessary beyond playing with tire pressures. Rob said he tried all the other solutions and those two items worked the best.

Like GTP said, with the list above and DR's we will be knocking on the door of 13's. I'm going with the same set up as GTP only i'm going with the weapon r 4-2-1 long tube since vector had great gains from a long tube header and tune on their 2.4 solstices.

a partial solution to wheelhop---drop tire pressure to 25psi at the track. Worked for me

Not me

And Bad06SS, I would say with all those mods and something to get the tires to hook up, you would be low 14's. I think with just intake and exhaust (which I can't afford) I'd be in the 14's.

Lol, I'm broke. I'm completely spent on my car. I'm just trying to get you 2.4 guys motivated! At the very least we gotta start seeing some mid 14's! If I had a 2.4, and there was no turbo kit, I'd either design my own, or I'd do every bolt on possible.

Wait a month or two and you'll see them. Specially when we get some nicer weather.

Yeah, it's hard to put any decent numbers down in the heat. We should all have some personal bests this fall.

i'd rather have that set up rather then a turbo abusing my clutch/tranny - how much would that set up cost?
