Yet more questions sry...

mk today me and a friend went to go look at a car he might get (he hopes) and we got there i saw a blue G8 GT it was an auto though BUT had the auto/manual shifter, and i know as much about transmissions as a video game nerd knows about football or any sport for the matter. It gave me an idea i know it has to do with the computer of the car but how hard would it be to put a auto/manual for us a4 guys cause we kinda get **** on by everyone. I mean GREAT we have b&m shiftplus but... that doesn't help out as much as having the manual auto because we can't get our revs higher and have very little control over shifting.

wow what people said about you is true...

you do realize that shifttronic does not really help. infact 3 of my budies have various models of vehicles and used shift tronic at the track.. you know what that did for them? their times slowed between .3-.6 of a second in the 1/4 mile.. shifttronic is worthless because its set up that if you just leave it in gear and stomp on it.. it shifts at redline.. just like it would when you drove the auto.. so no it would be pointless to do so. and prolly cost you 3K

A free car, regardless of what strings are attached, and who "technically" owns it........is still a free car.

You driving your "dads" Cobalt not paying car payments > me paying $398 a month on a Cobalt.

Be more thankful. Hell, if my parents paid for me to drive a minivan, i'd drive a minivan. Free = good.

You have two options:

A) Talk to HackAbuse who claimed, and I quote, that he "can select a gear with the auto better than most stick drivers"

B) Cut your losses and get a manual car

I'm kind of in your position, my parents bought me a cheap, auto car (Cavy) and obviously I want something better so I'm working overtime nights at my job ($21.38/hr) to get an SS/SC. Do I have a life? No, but I'll have an SS/SC which is all I really want.

and yea i would love to chose b. but it sucks cause my dad (my mom doesn't want me to have a faster car then her when she was in highschool) won't let me trade across for a ss/sc (in which i wouldn't have to pay a cent it's just its according to my dad a "step down" cause it'd be a 2007 and i've got a 08) or i made a deal that i would pay the extra insurace and whatever the extra on the monthly payment is and idk bout you but that seems fair to me....
