Zdeuce4's mild NA build progress thread
ive been waiting for u to chime in forever.... ill eventually hit up the rest of wut u have if i dont boost.. u got any sound clips or anything? vids at the track?
huuuuge update. well here's the spill. JBP supplies the cams and lifters to authorized dealers. the dealers have to pay jbp in order to get the items that u purchase, since jbp doesnt deal directly to the public anymore. Well, long story short, i paid well over a month ago and i have no cams or lifters still, so jbp suggested i request charge back thru my bank. I just finished making the claim with my bank and theyre going to credit me back my full amount tomorrow. Even better is that jbp is willing to let me purchase directly thru them this time so i can get the stuff, and they also suggested on helping me in the talks with my bank to prove my side that i never got the items. so its looking like the build will be back on track within a week or so. Big props to JBP
na man i dont have a camera or anything like that but i will tell you its no better feeling!haha way better pull than a 2.0 haha and when it was na ******* nasty..haha good luck man...if you have any questions then feel free to hit me up man.
I've completely changed my build plans so far. Im still getting my cams and lifters. install is just getting pushed back. Thanks to Cobeezy ive seen wut modified head and cams can do with the s/c setup. the NEW build list is
JBP stg1 head kit which includes
Full Race Port and Polish
Glass Bead
Knife Edged Intake Runners
Port Matched Intake
Port Matched Exhaust
JBP Performance Valve Springs (7000rpm)
Viton Valve seals
JBP 3 Angle Valve Job
Stock Valves
Stock Retainers
Stock Locks
Stock Guides
FelPro Head Gasket
Resurfaced Mating Surface
Along with this goes my JBP Triflow cams
And solid Ecotec lifters
For the boost portion of the build
JE 10.5.1 COMP PISTONS
Eagle H-BEAM rods
ARP Head Studs
SPEC Stage 2+ Clutch
60lb Injectors
M62 Supercharger
2.9 Pulley
ZZP Heat Exchanger
Dual Pass
soooo the cams arent goin in till i get the head kit. which is why i call it na/boost build. I'm gonna run around with the buit up head till i can gather all the boost components. so ill still be able to represent for my NA 2.4s for awhile. I'm goin with the jbp head kit cuz its got everything all in one and i wont have to keep buying parts from different places plus they can do all the machine work at one time and i wont have to worry about my car being down for a long amount of time with everything ready to install at once.
So thanks to Cobeezy for the idea!!!!

nope.. i mod based on timing. at the end of every school semester i get an extra check from my job. plus im graduating this year. meaning ill be full time instead of part time, AND ill be getting more money. i budget my mods very well so i should have this all completed by next summer. first step is getting the head kit in and installed. since its all together i gotta set aside 1200 to order it.
