2010 Chevy Cobalt SS or Cruze SS?
2010 Chevy Cobalt SS or Cruze SS?
Which is going to be the 2010 Model? Also will the price range change any?
I have been saving for a 2009 Cobalt SS, but when I found out how soon the 2010 SS model is coming out I decided to wait.
Is Chevy bringing back the Cobalt SS or are they changing to the Cruze SS?
I know there at lots of posts in here about this, but I have seen nothing clear cut enough for me.

The Cruze will be replacing the Cobalt in 2010, but there will be no Cruze SS. The only SS that will be available in 2010 is the Camaro.

Why? No resale value, poor quality... and GM might not even exist in the coming years!! LOL Go import! Save yourself the troubles!!
Then I looked into the Cobalt SS and found just how nice a car it really is (my opinion). It has been whipping the floor with all of it's competitors though and that includes cars from the Japanese market.
GM of course still needs some work on the quality of the interior, but they did a good job in virtually every other aspect of the car. They also put themselves into this situation, and thats no excuse or the reason I want to buy one.
I just like the Cobalt SS, and my friend has had his HHR SS for over a year now and a good number of people he knows has Cobalt SS/TC and to my knowledge they haven't had any major issues with them.
Were you born that way or did you wake up one day like that?
What a tool, maybe if you re-read your post you might figure out a portion of GM's problems, and they will never go away but the conglamorate that we all grew up knowing is gone.....

he's right about the poor quality and resale value. even if gm is staying around it still doesnt change the fact that gm is having to cut corners which effects how they are able to serve customers

We're both wrong, just read this-
"Cruze: The Cruze will finally launch in summer 2010 as a 2011 model. The base engine will be a ECOTEC 1.8L with around 140 HP, while an optional direct-injected, turbocharged ECOTEC 1.4L will round out the lineup. The 1.4L is said to achieve upwards of 45 MPG on the highway, but final numbers do not exist at this time. GMI has also heard tid-bits that a Cruze SS has already been developed for the U.S., and that the red Cruze that was at the Detroit auto show was actually an SS (minus the badging of course). That might just explain why said car had cross-drilled rotors on it…"
So it looks like the balt will be around for another year afterall, I highly doubt that it will last until 2013 though.

it affects their customer service tho. i need a new harmonic balancer for my balt and gm doesnt hav a single one available because of budget cuts. my dealership has been waiting on gm to send them the part for 3 weeks. i love some of gm's cars but i would not buy another car from them especially since times are tough.

GTO 1
im still waiting on them to send the part. the dealership said that they hav no clue when gm will send it, but my service manager is really nice and is e-mailing gm everyday to find out the status
My friend said that people who own chevys get loyalty discounts is that true? I drive a chevy cavalier although I think it is to old to even collect on the discount. I have a 1994 and my friend said the cut off is 2000 models.
Just to clear this all up the Cobalt SS will be back for the 2010 series and next year in 2011 the Cruze will be release and the Cobalt will be discontinued right?
Exactly! I have worked in part sales and as a technician and my appreciation for american made cars has only increased. Japanese cars still use chinsy metal on all their fittings and fasteners under the hood.
