2010 Cobalt pic...
actually they are bringing the camaro to look just like the concept... a dealer back in michigan (by my parents house) has already been authorized by GM to take orders and the first one goes in production february 12th 2009 and hits the show room floor april 21st 2009. My dad gave me his spot in line at the dealer and i placed an order for a victory red 6.0l LS2 w/ black racing stripes
I just read that they killed plans for a Firebird or GTO return for at least the next two years...
2009-2010 FIREBIRD AND GTO FATE CONFIRMED < February 13 2008
yes, the death of the GTO and firebird is true, but that is not the fate of the camaro... depending on how well the retro camaro sells will determine if they bring back the GTO or firebird
No, it didn't die 3 years into production. They just stopped making the car it was based off of in Australia where the GTO was made so they had no car to produce until the G8/Commodore came out. And the GTOs twin, the Monaro, was in production since 2001 so it was time to retire that body style. AWESOME car......retro body style can suck my nut on the GTO, because I don't care what they call it but those Holden are bad ass cars!
Here's to hoping Pontiac delivers with that new RWD sport compact they've been grumbling about for the last few years.
Market it as a 1-series fighter, RWD, 2.0L DI Turbo, they might have a hit on their hands.
As for the future Cobalt, i will withhold judgement until final pictures are released. I'm really hoping it bares more resemblance to the Malibu than what those shots of the Nubria let on, because if they don't, I'm afraid they missed the target.

I second that. I always looked at the HHR as our best looking sedan.
So let me get this straight. When people drive car around town with whacky bracing systems and duct tape all over them they are really driving prototype cars? And to think all this time I just thought it was red-necks doing their own bodywork to keep panels from falling off
I love how so many people are quick to bash the look of this thing based on spy shots of a base model sedan... Take a look at the base model sedan of the current Cobalt. I don't know about most of you, but I would not concider that a "fancy" looking car by any means.
Wait until we start seeing spy shots of test mules for the SS trim of this new balt before you start bashing it so hard.
I'm not sure if you're serious or not...
