Okay guys. Grow up. Seriously. This car could be a huge deal for GM. Making a compact, inexpensive, sporty car like this is something totally out of their league. Remember this thing is still in the works. There's a reason why they're waiting until 2011 to release it. And if you don't get your precious coupe, whoop-de-freaking-do. Bonus there is you get two extra doors you can throw crap into and two extra doors to use to get your friends/family in and out of. Yes, I'd like to see a coupe, but it's not the end of the world. What's the advantage of heated mirrors? Extra energy wasted? I see no point for them to be heated. My unheated ones are working just fine for me.
I really get tired of you lot bitching about a car that's three years away. Give your head a shake for goodness sake.

entry level? this cars pricing was at 40l last time i checked, did it some how drop below the aveo?
some HID's would be nice, they use less energy and provide better lighting, and for 40k+ id expect the car to have the works, rims no smaller than 18's on the base model, power eveything, heated seats, mirros the worx

I would seriously doubt 40K; but if GM wises up they will offer the car will all of the comforts we enjoy in our SS's- i.e. heated leather seats, a comprehensive driver info center, onstar, navigation, the works. In my opinion, GM's management has missed its mark completely. Ultimately people will want fuel economy and comfort. $4 gas WILL become a constant and people are wanting something to commute in that is stylish, comfortable, and dependable. GM has a great car in the Cobalt, but people wanting mileage and creature comforts aren't looking at an SS/TC or at an LS with hand crank windows and cloth seats. Who cares if GM changes the name and tweaks the chasis as they did in ditching the J-body in favor of the Cobalt, they will still have missed the mark unless the Cruz comes with all of the amenities offered by the various Ricers and a 2.2 Ecotech that will get 40mpg.

Oogly. I won't buy it, just because they ain't stickin with the name "Cobalt" which is a 100x better name for a car, than "Cruze" This ain't California surfer dudes!

it seems that the age of body kits and spoilers are coming to an end with these cars that have all these sharp lines. I say they keep the cobalt but w/e...maybe this will bring down the price of parts for us

to be honest... this car could do good for the company. yea it doesnt have the ***** of the lsj and the lnf but its going to be dirt cheap and get great millage. and thats what people are craving. and im sure it will take about 2.5 seconds for people to start doing swaps on the SS model. thats going to be the first race... who can be the first to make 250 hp with the stock internals.
but think about. u get a brand new car for 13k put 4k in upgrades and u got a sweet car.

Even with a coupe I'm not convinced I'm really going to care...I'm going to enjoy the SS/TC for the next 5+ years at which point I will admit defeat and likely be forced into some fuel efficient commuter mobile that's boring as ***** to drive . That seems to be the way of the future .
In all seriousness I can see the appeal of the vehicle, particularly if GM moves ahead with the interior shown in the production models. Long story short I viewed this as my last chance to own an SS with the inevitable house purchase up and coming and is the only reason I traded my LS in (amongst the incentives being offered by the dealer). I'm curious to see what 2010/2011 brings with the Cruze when they start popping up around here .

My comment was not out of hatred... trust me. I support GM in all of their endeavours and wish them the best, but for the love all of that is holy, if the Cobalt coupe goes there better be a Cruze coupe.
