Cruze LTZ
Ok, so for $24,000...A fully loaded LTZ Cruze is a GREAT deal. The interiaor is awesome, and the entire car was just great. The motor, i am iffy about, but the rest of the car impresses me 100%. IF they make a coupe, manuel, turbo, maybe 2.0L I will get one. BUT until then, My SS/TC is the win. Just figured Id post that i seen one in person, and checked it out. Dealership was closed so i didnt get to drive it, but maybe today? haha

Local one had a fully loaded LTZ the 1.4 turbo, leather and this car is a big i mean HUGE improvement in quality over the cobalt, interior feels like it wasn't put together with glue, seats where comfy and i had alot of room in front and back, very well built car. but the 1.4 honestly doesn't feel as responsive as i would of hoped but overall 9/10

Exactly what I mean! haha PERFECT small luxery car. My buddy said when he worked at the Toyota Dealer, that the Lexus IS250 was not as comfty as a ride as the LTZ Cruze. I love the car Im really surprised it came out like it did. I was looking at a 1.4T LTZ, in Dark Charcoal color. For the price, Id have one if I was in the market for sure!

The cruz is a pretty nice car. The interior is great and it drives very smooth(but then, what new car doesn't). The only problem I have with the car is the tiny engine... seems great for fuel economy, but even with the t/c, it seems like it doesn't even have as much pep as my stock cobalt ls. A car just falls under the radar for me regardless of it's great interior and good exterior looks if it can't get up and go if needed.

i work at our local chevy dealer as a detailer and we just got our first cruze in this past week...and idk...part of me feels like the 1.4T is a little more snappy than my 2.2 cobalt

someone sent me a mms picture on my phone in april that showed what LOOKED like a LNF motor in the cruze, furthermore it had prototype seats that weren't on the release model and different rims, I'm pretty sure it was taken inside one of the warren tech center buildings, im assuming that's where GMPD is located. By saying this someone is gonna get in trouble I'm sure. [sorry bro] Does it mean it'll make production? No, of course not, part of the process is to prove that the car can be built within a cost and design criteria, and that cost also means if there are design changes to chassis, it has to be NHTSA recertified, which costs MORE money for crash testing, lots of hurdles and if someone is on the in with those guys that do the crash testing we might learn a bit more about progress on an up trim performance model.

The car is 100% not a race car. Its more like a small luxury car, BUT there is a lot of room under the hood for some 2.0L and boost action. If they make a coupe, LNF, or LSJ swaps BETTER be possible. That would be sick. I LOVE the interior on the car. ***** comfy!

Chevy Cruze Race Team Currently Leading The WTCC In Points | GM Authority
Boosted 4 banger at 285HP. Im guessing the LNF, but I could be wrong
As one would imagine, these Chevy Cruze touring cars are not your domesticated Eco and RS models that will hit U.S. dealerships in the coming months and that have been selling in Europe for the least few years. However, the Cruze WTCC car is powered by a very familiar 2.0-liter Ecotec inline-four that were hoping will see its way into an SS version of the Cruze. In the WTCC Cruze, however, the boosted four-banger blasts out 285 hp and gives the compact sedan a top speed of 158 mph. And lets not forget that the WTCC Cruze weighs less than 2,540 lbs (1,152 kg).

PRODUCTION CARS were not made to be "race" cars. Better? lol Meaning its an LT/LTZ, not an SS, or Sport yadda yadda. Its an eco car. I understand they might be race cars but those "race cars" are not forsale with big powerplants.

2 of my Chevy dealers have had them in for a few weeks now. Overall, I like them, but I don't love them. The inside is a TON better than the Cobalt, it really is very nice. The front/side of the car look great, but the back is kinda blah. And the engine just feels "off". I've said it before, if GM makes a coupe SS version with some big power and gives it a more aggressive look, it'll be a winner!

The interiors of the new Cruze are really what sells them, it's the only improvement about them. The interior is worlds above that of my G5, it's more like a Malibu interior. The exterior design of the car is lackluster and betrays it's design by Opel and GM Daewoo... an anonymous design that does little to stand out from the crowd.
The biggest disservice done to this car is in engine choices... I understand the quest for fuel efficiency, but I don't understand Chevy's choice to replace the Family II Ecotecs in this market segment with Family 0 and Family 1 engines. The Aveo's E-TEC has always been a joke, with the L61 having been able to make more horsepower, yet still have about the same fuel efficiency when needed. The Ecotec Fam. 1 DCVCP 1.8L in the base model Cruze makes less power even than an L61 and yet the Cruze's curb weight is ~400lbs more than the Cobalt. The 1.4L LUJ makes about the same horsepower and about 25 lb ft more torque than the 1.8 and gets about the same milage according to Chevy, but still can't compare to the L61.
The Opel/Daewoo Family 1 and Family 0 Ecotecs have never been able to compare to the Family II series, using the E-TEC is fine for the Aveo, but not this market class. Chevy would have done much better to further refine the Family II. The LAP, LE8, LAF, and the 2.2L DI all make better starting points for a car in this market segment. If Chevy really wants to start getting ahead, they need to take advantage of the more advanced Engine technologies they already have like the Family II Ecotecs, the High Feature V6s, and the Northstar V8s, and they need to work on improving their transmission technologies.

that's because it is I drove one, and it felt quite a bit quicker than my old 2.2 sedan, power hits hard from very low it felt like my friends Jetta TDI, but the ride is better IMO
