Drove a Cruze today...

We had one at work today, and I had to take it out for some evaluations. The interior (compared to my Cobalt) was quite nice. The materials were a step up.

Sorry about the pics. I didn't have my camera with me, and it was a spur of the moment thing, so my phone had to suffice.

As far as power goes...my wife's Corolla auto gas bigger *****.

If they put something worthwhile in it *cough* LNF *cough*, I would be all over it.

Just thought I would share.

Sweet man, too bad it's slow as **** and the backend is fugly. GM needs to step up and drop the LNF in there and make the SS version a coupe (or at least available as one) and re-do the back end to look a lot better. Then it'll be win.

it may be ment to be slow as f--- but wait till someone as crazy as me pulls the motor, forges the engine, turbo charges it, and tunes it.

I guess I should have specified...this is a European spec.

Reverse is staying put, as far as I know.

Aren't they still going to do a smaller turbo one that will get around 40mpg. Anything that has a turbo can always be coaxed a bit.

I think the euro spec Cruze is going to be quite a lot different than the North American spec Cruze. I know the U.S. Cruze is going to get a small turbocharged DI gas that makes about 140 horsepower or so but get close to 40 mpg.

I'd be willing to be based on the engine offerings of the vehicle it's using the same or modified transmission as the Aveo did which has reverse in the top right.

If you think about the R position, it makes more sense having it near 1st. cuz you will either start driving or reverse. I had a 6 speed ms3 and man I keep almost shifting into R to go to 6th hahah I know theres a lock out though. but imo it makes sense.

thanks for the pics!

I can tell from the lol's from people that they know what Im getting at. That interior looks like it was taken out of a civic.

I dont like the civic interior. Especially that tacky looking digital readout. Yukky. I will say this though, at least they scrapped that crappy ass cheapo plastic shifterknob thats in the cobalt. I HATED that god damn thing with a passion.....

I work for a supplier...I fabricate prototype seats.

We are doing the seats for the Cruze...

I actually made the first SS seat (post Recaro).

By chance did you see any "unusual" seat sketches for the cruze?
