looks like a mini G8 but just as heavy.... And if its not awd its a waste of weight on a car that size. And if it is awd it will still suck cause its GM and wont have aftermarket support

i like it but im not in love with it. and i agree if they dont make this thing awd then it would be a waste cuz of its size and weight. but the front end reminds me of a yaris with a body kit lol.

Put me on the same list!!! But I can see it now, it almost sounds to good to be true gm coming out with an awd turbo car, them it's prob gonna be auto/slap stick only. For me that would kill it!

This.

It really wouldn't be hard for them to just keep the LNF Cobalt around.

Yea the cars would be heavy but if they upgraded the turbo or anything on the car and made more around 300 it would be just like every other awd turbo car...I mean look at the speed6 that thing is a tank!

ya but the speed6 isnt setting any speed records true it would be nice but to keep it "tuner" and fast around a track, its already proven they have a great fwd setup. Theres no real need for awd on a ss model. Even the focus RS is fwd, the only people who seem to want awd are these that want insane amounts of power...but even with all that power that doesnt mean you are the fastest around a track.

That's very well put! I never thought of it that way your 100% currect there really is no need for it.

I don't like the exterior styling. This car needs to have the performance of the Cobalt SS, with more interior room, more upscale interior styling and materials, and most importantly no squeaks and rattles. I want to see a really tight interior build that is solid. Everybody with a Cobalt knows the feeling that the interior is going to fall apart due to the noises it makes. For it to have the performance of the Cobalt SS, it will need more power due to it being larger and heavier. If the Cruze SS can achieve the same performance and have a better interior, GM will hit a homerun with this car.

They also should do more performance parts for the car. It should come with fixed Brembo calipers at all four wheels, but with a street pad that is not aggressive and won't groove and destroy the rotors. There should be performance pads from GM that people can order. I would also like to see an air intake, exhaust, and downpipe from GM that make some nice power gains to go along with a nice GM tune.

I really don't think though that they would be able to package such a car with anything over 300. That would have people thinking twice rather to get the Cruze or the Camero V6, don't you think?

That would be nice but I dont see gm doing that much work as they no longer have the performance side of things. I can see gm maybe fixing the brembo issue, and make the interior better, but as far as coming out with a bunch of performance extras i dont really see it. It would be nice but doubtful.

I would LOVE to see gmpp make more parts specially for a car. Other companies do it with great success. 1. you keep warranty 2. the parts have (usually) been tested and proven 3. gm makes more money.

we dont really need brembo's on the rear, the rear brakes almost do nothing. that does add cost and well its suppose to be a econobox tuner car. You guys are almost asking for too much from a cheap car, you want parts and performance of a $40k for $20k it just cant happen. you must sacrifice somewhere to make it cheap.

theres no brembo issue, its just the plain rear pads are junk. Just get a new pad for the rear and it should be ok.
