Is there to be a coupe? Based on "brings coupe-like proportions to a compact sedan" I would think not.

The interior of the Z06 and ZR1 isn't meant to be nice or luxurious. It's meant to be utilitarian and LIGHT! That $100k isn't being put into the interior, it's going into the Engine, drivetrain, brakes, suspension, and exterior. Places I'd much rather spend my money as well if I were to build a "ZR1" wannabe.

The cobalts interior is cheap... because it is a cheap car .. 23k...... the argument is not valid because your getting exactly what your paying for.

Bottom line.. if I could have the power of our 08-09 Balt SSs with just the exterior of the Cruze... I would be a happy camper. Cobalts exterior is not hideous by any means however.
You are not getting my point, reguardless how much you pay for a GM car, the interior always feels cheap. This is not my opinion, but the opinion of car reviewers. They always bitch about GM interiors. You pay 60K for a escalade and you get decent GM leather and cheap wood trim.

Some of you are the most inept people I've had the displeasure of reading text from. Would some you like some cheese with that wine?

They're here! The first official pics of the 2011 Chevy Cruze have been released by General Motors, and we're not ashamed to say it – we like it. Of course, we're comparing it to the current small car in GM's lineup, the Cobalt, so the bar is pretty low.
lol.

It's not bland looking. Besides the Astra when was the last time you could say that about a compact from GM?

03+ Sunfire had rather interesting styling IMO.

The LNF will be going into the Cruze too , this engine is FAR FAR from dead ....in fact its use will expand to more cars its already in . So I wouldnt worry too much about the aftermarket . United States versions will not share exactly the same powerplants as overseas .

I dont see many negatives here . I mean its not the prettiest thing out there , but ...it makes the current Cobalt sedan look like a Aveo grade car both outside and inside . The Delta 2 chassis will far exceed the current version , we lose the twist beam rear axle for a real IRS and the interior is damn near CTS grade ....

.....

I have heard Coupe , sedan and hatch . Chevy sell far to many Cobalt coupes to get out of that market .

The Cruze looks alright. Mind you I didn't care too much for the Cobalt when it came out but now I think it's a beautiful car. It is rather disappointing that it has some styling elements that I have seen before from other Asian car manufacturers.

I do think the front would look a lot better if they continued the curve in the grille along the top of the headlights as well, like this...

Man, you know I have heard so much complaining about the cheap interior of Cobalts. I took an '08 GTI for a test drive last weekend and its interior was plastic too. However, when I hear reviews about the GTI they talk about the "expensive feeling" plastic.

Here I am sitting in the drivers seat thinking "whats so great about this interior?" Bottom line, plastic is ,well, plastic. Cheap feeling or expensive feeling, whatever, it's still plastic.

It looks alright, an SS version could look good. I have to admit though that I love that interior picture.

I know the ls600 is much higher in the lexus line than the cts is in caddy, but i hope you get my drift.

So that means that I have to buy a 2010 Cobalt SS/TC (or equivalent) or I'll be screwed. DAMN IT. I'll be just graduating then. I guess I've gotta save my pennies!

......... damn gm.
