SPIED: NEW Chevy Cobalt/Cruze w/ Interior Shots

Hey Guys. I just found this:
http://jalopnik.com/398237/2010-chev...f-its-interior

Looks like the Cruze engineers were caught with their pants down. Full interior shots! Looks like it's going to be smooth.

Just thought I'd share this... it's been a good run Cobalt... just too short.

"General Motors has officially announced that it will produce the upcoming Cobalt replacement, the Chevrolet Cruze, at its Lordstown, Ohio facility. The Cruze will make its worldwide debut at this October’s Paris Motor Show.

The car will hit the European market in the spring of 2009, with U.S. production at the Lordstown plant — where the Cobalt is currently made — beginning in June 2010. Although the Cruze will replace the Cobalt, GM will produce both vehicles for a short time together"

That's too bad... I like the 'balt... but this new car looks like ass.

That really sucks there's not going to be a new Cobalt. But at the same time at least that crappy looking thing wont be called a Cobalt haha. I guess overall I'm happy because this means GM wont produce some new Cobalt that looks like hell and is just overall sh*tty. And it's kinda cool to have a car that's ended it's short (yet awesome) production on a really high note.

GM Needs this car, not for enthusiasts but for the common person. This is their bread and butter, and it could be their last chance to do it right and so far all the pictures are pointing to success. This is reality, their stock is now at $10 a share and with a market cap of 5.85 billion (compared to Toyota's $144 billion) they barely have any money to push them into the next year. Only time will tell what is going to happen, we dont even know if there is going to be a coupe, if anyone here cares about GM's survival they will be rooting for this car, whether or not it has a performance oriented trim.

Wow I don't understand why GM would discontinue the Cobalt instead of just redesigning it. I mean, I understand why they replaced the cavalier with the Cobalt because the Cavalier had a certain bad image to it for consumers. The Cobalt hasn't had a bad image and I think redesigning it would have been best.

IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DONT FIX IT

I believe the main reason why they are discontinuing the cobalt is that its replacement is going to be a global car sold all over the world, as opposed to the cobalt that's a NA only car. This is the first time that GM has sold a car with the same name all over the world.

I can't really say whether I like the CAR or not from those pictures, but the NAME "Cruze" is garbage.

It just has an unintelligent, cheap (and I don't mean inexpensive) connotation to it, given the spelling.

Maybe it's just me, but as far as names go, Cobalt > Cruze.

Cobalt = radioactive element on the periodic table
Cruze = homoerotic trip to the gay porno shop

I will refrain from stating my opinion until I see a 2 door/SS-equivalent model.

If they were aiming to make an impressive global model, why did they ditch the Opel Astra based car for a Daewoo Lacetti based one?
