Who's to say the supplier still wouldn't mix up parts? Those plants build tons of different parts and ship them to multiple customers.

Well then the part simply would not fit or it would fit properly.

and when the c5 vettes came out the rear ends had a tendency to fall off or break in half or some ****. chevys quality hasnt improved in the years.

went and drove one today and told the guy if the steering wheels falls off then its free.
