2008 ALBERTA Top 1/4 Mile Times
In theory that should be true, but, in Calgary, a bone stock Solstice GXP ran a 14.6 @ 94 mph while with my mods, my Sky Redline ran a 13.9 @ 98 mph. Even if a slower time is driver related, mph is a good indication of horsepower. So, while the ECU does compensate for altitude, it doesn't totally correct it.

My best 60 ft so far is 2.001 with the stock tires. I'm not sure what size your tires are, but mine are 245 wide. On the stock tires, I doubt you'll get a better 60 ft than that. But, if you can, please feel free to prove me wrong!
new pb for me last night
14.146 @ 104.04 mph
the car still has more in her, but oh man was the track bad. We'll try again next Friday.
I'll get a slip as soon as I can find my charger for my camera

last night the air was super hot and muggy. one track operator told me that last night was altitude corrected to 5600 ft. i lost some top end, but i tried a newer aggressive launch at 10,000 rpm, and got a new pb. 2007 zx-10r
10.862@130.51

13s !
So finally traction was my friend.
My first run was a 13.952 @ 102.43 at 7:09. It was 32 degrees
My fastest was 13.868 @ 102.89 at 10:55 pm. I think it was still around 29 degrees.
I made 4 more runs after that, all in the 13.8s.

oh dude i have a story about that one silver one.
hes got exhaust, FMIC fully replaced piping, clamp, running 21psi,
i asked him what he expects, he said high 11s rofl
he told me MS3s are running 12.8 stock
*giggle*
I didnt have the heart to tell him what he was going to run that night.

New PB... Technically
ok so I set a new personal best last night.
New 13.859 @ 102.37
Old 13.868 @ 102.89

looking at my slips, should I not have been faster than that at the end? All my numbers were significantly better for the first have of the race, then it seems that I taper off on the top end. Could this be because there was a pretty strong head wind at the time?

see my last slip a few posts up...

absolutely.
headwinds will destroy your top end.
also, remember what i told you, your worse launches from a few weeks ago was inflating your trap.
now that your launching well, your trap is going to be a bit lower, but the ets better
nicely done though rob
nice launching.

thanks! I kinda figured that wind wasn't helping me any. Im pretty sure that was a 13.7 run with no wind. Oh well.
I've finally figured out how to launch this car on street tires
. All that coaching on how-to ride the clutch makes sense now!
Although last night it cooled quite quickly and I had to ride the clutch ALOT just to get that 60' time, not to mention I was dropped down to 26psi. My clutch finally told me to stop on my 5th run of the night. I shift perfectly into second and my tak pinned over to 6k and the car didnt move, so I shifted into 3rd and same thing *ping* 6k. So I let off and coasted.
It should be fine though, just slightly glazed her.

haha mine wasnt that bad. I stopped in the return lane quickly then took off slowly, went through the gears, no problem. Just a little glazed luckily. It didn`t smell too bad, notgood, but not all that bad.
