I recall fast98 mentioning you need to rotate it.....Might be a good idea to ask OTTP.

Not a MAP sensor

that is not the MAP sensor btw it is the air intake temperature sensor, if you do take it out and modify it make sure it doesn't have any carbon built up on it as this can happen to cars who's AIT sensor has been relocated from the MAF sensor in which it usually is with other ecotec engines. they moved it off the MAF because the intake filter is so far away from the Intake manifold. so cars with short ram intakes may suffer this sensor getting blasted by intake backfire and blowby. It happened to mine.

It is in fact a MAP sensor. It is a 2.5 bar Bosch TMAP. Serves as our IAT2 sensor. IAT1 is integrated into the MAF.

Hate to bump an old thread.. but.. Does anyone know if simply rotating the MAP can lead to a vacuum leak? I rotated mine and I seem to be having a leak now that is causing wacky fuel trims and P0300 random cylinder misfires.

Here's the thread... https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lsj-performance-tech-47/vacuum-leak-around-map-sensor-causing-misfires-help-223284/

I think I'm gonna pull the TVS off and dremel it...

here i go bumping an old thread but can u only get these sensors from the dealership? i broke mine today trying to install the tvs before i saw how to modify it. so now i need a new one. i cracked mine half off but it looks like it still makes contact so i tried cranking the car anyways and all the car does is idle at 3000 the tries to die and does this over and over
