Your kidding me right?? I guess given the time to get used to the car and really knowing her. I can see some decresses in time, but almost a full second off is prett nice!. A 2.3 60' time is to stand improving as well, but a vast improvement!! Thats right up there with the new v6 mustang. I think with some more practice i know a 2.2 is capable.. and have heard of people with a 2.1-2.0. They must have alot of experience and have the knack on the FWD cars. I'm hopeing to get there some day. Im sure it will be a journey. Most things are difficult that i want to acheive. I was running consistant 14.3's when it was about 110. Did however finally break into the 13's. They temp was considerably cooler, but not prime turbo weather. Hope to match your time's or get in the lower 13's on the stock conti tires. They are half gone after one season of driving. After this last rotation will look into some new tread. Best of luck with this upcomming race season!

I have the GMS1 and a downpipe, I made it to the track on Friday night. It shows potential, but due to the cold weather (31 degrees) and not sticky all season rubber, i managed a 13.6 4 times in a row. I consider this pretty good for my first time at the track with it...still figuring out how to shift to get the best times and i need some better rubber and weather to lower my 60' time. it was rough hooking up, so these times are pretty good...i gotta figure out the best way to shift to get good times too...running it all the way out in each gear isn't an option, that got me the slowest times.

2.35 60' and my trap speed was 108. I had one 2.00 60' last summer with SUMMER tires, this was on all-seasons...i also know i wasnt making my max amount of boost. i had a video of my boost gauge and i maxed out at 20 on friday, but i know it will hold 22.

yeah but times would be better with good tires. well good tires for running on the track. my all season's are wearing awesomely, but they just aren't sticky enough for good track times. I've got about 7,000 miles on them now and last time I had them rotated, my mechanic asked me why i bought new tires. i told him they were the same ones. lol. they still have the little nubs around the edges of the tires.

City in Upstate NY.

Got 3 years and change before I retire!

Love the job, but at this point I've seen enough fires, dead bodies, etc. to last me a lifetime ...

Actually you're wrong. If you've been following the progress of the Cobalt LNF upgrade from the "everybody else has it why not us" days you'd know that our Cobalts with the upgrade make LESS HP/torque than all the other LNF applications except the HHR automatic. The problem IS the air intake. The air intake/filter on the Cobalt is CHASSIS mounted whereas all the others are ENGINE mounted. The difference in performance is due to the convoluted rubber tube the Cobalt must use in the intake tract to allow for the movement of the engine. Originally our upgrade package was to include a new intake also but between engineering problems, CARB and money worries they dropped, temporarily so they said, the intake and released the package with a reduced improvement in performance. The intake was supposed to be released as a Stage 2 mod but hasn't as yet and probably never will be. It was suggested on GM Tuner Source to go aftermarket for a better flowing intake to make up those loses. Check this out to find power levels for the different LNF applications.;

This one talks about the Cobalt/LNF deficiency;

Last but not least their suggestions but NOT LIMITED to these few;

Got it installed, cost 350 for install, which sucked but I do like the upgrade. Runs so much smoother to me.

Sounds like I'll be S.O.L. when it breaks cuz I don't have a warranty anymore.

Also sounds like something I'll do in 3.4yrs when my warranty expires!

Good catch, if you normalized that graph and took the spike up to 319 out it would average more like 305 and HP more like high 270's.
