the because I'm bored build

so after leaving my car sorta stockish for the last few years and messing with my other toys.
The cobalt is getting ready to be fastish again.
This setup won't be as crazy as I want, but will hold me over until my trans am is finished
current plans and mods are as follows:
Advise's tvs and id1000's
been on corn for a few years might as well stay with what works
Built sleeved bottom end (getting on saturday)
zzp stage 2 cams and 75lb valve springs
lots of nitrous
and our super secret cooling setup that is still being finished
throw in an exedy hyper single and a meth kit and that's the jist of it
shooting for @550-600whp on spray
will update as progress is made, bored so making this thread.
this is how the car sits as of now

Don't spray, you're gonna blow really fast.

The two bottles of nitrous going in the trunk say otherwise.
It'll do it. Should be able to eek out 400whp on boost only. It can be done.

Nah I'm just borrowing it until his car is done then either go back to the m62 and spray or something else.
And yes the lack of fast in my life is boring me so this is what happens.

Car has 190k on it motor that's in it now is John powells old motor and has been going strong getting the **** beat out it for years. But she leaks oil like a siv so me being me instead of fixing the leaks it's getting a new motor lol

Airflow and fitting the front heat exchanger. It's far from finished though. Gotta do some body work and fit the ss lip on it then paint.

Is this the same motor that came with the car still? If so that thing has held up to anything and everything including revs in the 9k range.

Nah that motor is floating around in another cobalt somewhere but still going strong. My 9500 rpm motor cracked a sleeve and the block and crank are sitting g in my garage. This motor I got from John years ago but it has seen it's fair share of abuse

Can't really go into detail on the cooling setup. But most it isn't even installed yet and already results have bee. Damn good.

And can't wait to get the ta out in the spring. Should be sitting around 800 whp with this setup. Eventually going for 1500whp when I build the next motor

That cooling set up is interesting, how much coolant did you add to the system?

Your posts are worthless.
system takes just under 1.5 gallons now. bad ass water pump on it too. twin temp gauges to monitor inlet and outlet from the laminova cores. Cruising now temp difference is only 1-2 degrees. inlet temps are ambient always (will be lower with the other goodies going in)

Care to share the flow rate of the pump? There was another thread discussing the addition of a high flow pump and some claimed higher fluid flow rates would increase the heat not decrease the heat like theory says it should.

it's emp wp29 pump, thing is a monster
and tested back to back vs the stock pump, temps are definitely down. pretty much monitor and log everything temp wise, adding 2 more air temp sensore pre blower and post blower before the cores to get a better idea of what we'll be adding to the car does.

as of right now will be running a single 15gph meth nozzle pre blower and a 30 dry shot of nitrou
then another 125-150 shot direct port nitrous kit post blower. with twin 5gph nozzles in the s/c spacer

it's a little over the top, but that's how it goes. Can't really post much until it's complete, still have about 4 more things to install to finish it up
but should make running small pulley no problem heat wise
