Ecotec 2.0 LDK swapping into a 240SX S13

Im about to start a complete Ecotec swap into a S13 240sx. Its all because of a dumb texting driver that totaled my 09 cobalt SS. I will be using a 2.0 K04 LDK and a pontiac solstice ar5 trans custom motor mounts and trans mounts. I will also be swapping over all the wiring and fuse boxes gauge cluster and everything that will make the motor fire so i will have to splice the headlights and tail lights in to the cobalt harness but thats pretty much it for wiring because im using everything from the cobalt so when i fire it up it will still thinks its a cobalt SS as far as custom fab work that needs to be done is motor mounts trans mounts custom driveshaft and im using the metal dash frame and steering wheel from the SS so i will have to extend the steering shaft and make shims for the dash to fit becuase its 1 1/2" shorter than the 240 metal dash frame. once i get it in and fire it up and make sure everything works in the 240 im pulling the motor and building it rods and pistons bearings and a custom manifold for ether a 6262 or s257 and mount it near the front bumper
ill be starting the swap this weekend and ill be posting pics as i go i already have the motor and the SS as the donor and i have the S13 240 along with the AR5 solstice trans i will be test fitting the cobalt flywheel and Ky stage 4 pressure plate with the trans to see if there are any issues if it fits then all i need to buy is a clutch disc instead of a complete clutch kit. Ill keep everybody informed as i go

I can understand that, and I'm sure there will be plenty of space under the hood for swapping later

So i put the cobalt ss flywheel on and pressure plate on the LDK to test fit the pontiac ar5 trans i already know i cant use the SS pressure plate due to it having a 14 spline and the ar5 trans has a 27 spline. So i mocked it up and it works just fine no issues no scraping or anything so i just have to order a clutch disc for a solstice and it should work fine

Way to think out of the box. I'm with Eric- throw a 7163 efr on there without boost ramp cause the trans will handle it better than a f-35.

sorry i havent updated in a awhile ive been tied up with work. So ive done a bit more research and i can not use the cobalt pressure plate or flywheel with the solstice ar5 trans so that means i have to order a $190 flywheel and a good clutch kit i will be cleaning out my garage to get to 240 in this weekend so next weekend i should be dropping the motor and trans in for mocking up motor mounts and trans mount. Ill updated once i get the swap in the car
