Engine Size

What would be the largest engine that I could fit into my cobalt? Looking hopefully for some type of small v6 with a decent kick.

LS2 fits, just a little custom fabbing and about $200,000 are needed.

Well considering how tightly packed an Eco is already in there, You might be able to fit a 3800 if you're really trying, maybe a 3.0 cts motor. With enough money anything is possible, however if you're expecting this to be cheap, not gonna happen.

I have a 2.2. Instead of trying to tc/sc I was curious if anyone knew of any v6s or super quick 4s that would work

To the OP, I hope you realize how incredibly difficult and impractical putting anything but the exact same ecotec engine into your car will be. Even a different size ecotec motor will be a major headache.

Obviously you have not done any research at all. That being said I suggest you leave it stock.

I wish someone would leave me their car and an $8k check just so I could RWD one for ***** and giggles. And show people how incredibly not difficult this kinda of stuff is with a little fabrication.

Yes they did. It's badass. There's a thread on here. But it's also worth it. Unlike in a Cobalt
