Intake Manifold Options

I don't know why the Intake Manifold thread was deleted but whatever.

Here's a cool pic of an option I'd love to see someone try.

It's from a Lotus with an M62 on it.

Welcome to 2 months ago.

This was in my FMIC thread from back in the day.
Unfortunately this site is so full of fail that people just bitched and said it won't work....
Further reasoning why I don't share my information.

while it would be beneficial there are other ways that would not be as costly i would think.

Not very costly.
My test mule cost me $300 + my fab work.

I'm assuming that the production unit will be no more than $500, plus the FMIC cost.
Not too bad for 800+CFM.

This design is great for 8-10 psi. Whipdy do!

http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f157...tential-51489/

Of course air flow/restriction is more important then psi readings.

The use the same M62 as the LSJ does.
I know it's a hard concept for everyone to grasp.... but our blowers are 'maxed out' of the efficiency range from factory.
The M62 isn't meant to push air past 12psi.... that doesn't stop any of us from doing it though.

Cobras, GTPs, Lightnings, Cobalts, Mini's.... we all over spin the blower.... it's not like it's a horrible crime.

True. I was just making sure that everyone knows that we need a IM design that is efficent for the amount of air we need.

No need spending a lot of money on something that will produce the same results as our stock setup. Or less in some examples.

It's not their fault their cars come with a belt driven cake spindle.

You gotta spin that thing like a mother-f@#ker to get any air in that engine.

Did he just take his pulley off and notch his input shaft?

My friends an I were joking about doing that

I much prefer air-water intercoolers. Simply for the momentary extra cooling you can get from a 2 gallon tank full of ice water! Can't do that with a front mount!
