Methanol Half Life
interesting tidbit of information.
Methyl hydrate, (methanol) has a halflife of about 18 days when exposed to air!
translation? in about 18 days, methanol that is exposed to the atmosphere will have 50% of its atoms decayed.
one of the by products of this process is formaldehyde.

be careful with the handling/storage of your methanol

One of the guys at my shop runs a go-kart for his daughter. The engine runs off pure meth if i remember correctly. He left the cap off the can and lost 5 gal. because of it, stuff evaporates in minutes.

^^Only when you add the additive to it. I have the Groovy Grape smelling additive, but you can get Bubble Gum, Tangerine, Cinnamon, Root Beer, and a couple other flavors! My buddies hate it when I blow by them and my exhaust leaves them with a grape smell!

50/50 meth/water mix roughly. I buy a big gatorade and after drinking it I clean out the bottle and mix my meth/water mix in it for my 2 quart tank! Then I put a capful of Groovy Grape in there, smack my buddy and tell him to quit huffing my tank, and then she's ready to go. Everyone likes the grape smell! Just don't get that **** on your hand because the smell stays on for a couple days and people tend to look at you funny when your smelling your fingers all day long. 
You can also add it to you regular gas tank too if you don't have meth yet.
Here's a link to all the good smelly stuff. Three pages of assorted scents for you guys! Note use it sparingly: Available in 4 oz. bottles, one bottle treats 20 gallons of Gasoline, Nitromethane or 30-55 gallons of Methanol.
