ok, maybe im retarded, but, could your PSI change as your VE changed? for example if your car was naturally aspirated its VE is going to be insane at high RPMS because of your cams/porting job. Therfore as you go through the RPM band you hit max boost quickly, but it falls as you get higher and higher VE and your engine can take more and more air.
I guess i just dont understand how a s/c could go up and down as far as boost is concerned considering its kind of forced to push a certain amount of air, unless of course your getting air thats bypassing the rotors or sumting.

Your signature is proving to be more accurate than we thought. J/K
That sucks man. Let me know when you go to change it. I want to help you out if I can.
I think it is also partly due to the M62 running out of breath. It wasn't designed to spin that fast, at that pressure, or that volume of air.

The Harrop 1320 is a larger displacement SC that is designed for higher boost levels. It would work much better.
I'm curious as to how much air the stock intake manifold and Laminova cores will flow. I have a feeling it might be a bit restrictive in his application.

Alright so last night I took it out for some more scanning. Found out 2 things.
#1 That M62 ******* sucks ass. Even with the 2.6" on there, it makes peak boost of 17 psi at around 5300 rpm, then it starts dropping, and by 8200 rpm its only at 14 psi. What a piece of **** But who didn't know that already. I knew it was shitty, but I didn't know my motor would so heavy over power the blower. Before, it would make peak boost at redline, I figured it would at least hold boost til redline, or at least 7000 rpm!
#2 My clutch is now fucked up. I have no idea what happened, or even WHEN it happened, but my clutch is pretty fucked. When the clutch is slipping (leaving in 1st gear, shifting into second), it sounds like your scraping a rake on the side of the car. This horrible grinding sound, but as soon at the clutch is either fully engaged, or fully disengaged, it makes no noise, and it still works, I shift with no problem, I don't understand it!!!

As for the TVS on the stock intercooler/imtake you still won't hit those higher numbers so turbo is your only choice. Time to start auctioning off your first newborn and finding the woman to make it with.

Well now I am going to be the first one to say that perhaps you have finally seen the light even though this choice you have fought, kicking and screaming all the way.

Seriously though, before I do any of that ****, I need to figure out this small bullshit, like the O2 sensor, and more importantly, I need to change the throwout bearing before it annihilates my pressure plate
As for the turbo, 150 shot of N2O will spool that bitch right quick

I would like my car to remain somewhat streetable. The GT35 will be pushing it, seeing as I'll have less power than my dads Camry up til like 3800 rpm

not true my friend. Stock compression, ported head, cams... she'll spool up a lot quicker than you think. Plus it;s gonna get to that rpm very quickly with your lightened rotating assembly.

I will blow my head off with a 12 gauge before I brake boost. I plan on getting the 2 step anyway though.

**** on stock everything I hit 22 psi at 4300 rpm with my POS butchered cavi mani on my car. If I throw on the vulcan equal length I'll be @3800 full spool. I do a ported head and cams, well it gets even better. You'll move some air to spool that beast. **** just go with a 60-1 like I have, enough airflow to make some good power (just run a T4 exhaust housing) and a nice mani and it'll make some stupid power and be fun as hell to drive.
oh and btw your car will be useless on the street from anything less than an 80 roll.... trust me.

seals r awesome no smoke what so ever. no shaft play @ all. not even a full oil change on it - 3k miles is all that i used it for. nothing wrong @ all, spins free as hell.
