Is the C5 corvette fast?
Would you guys get one? I have a lead on a torch red red 2003, 6Spd manual...owned by a senior the thing LITERALLY only has 10,000Km (6000mi) on it yeah its like new, never seen snow or even water lol.
He's getting old and can't drive it anymore and wants to get rid of it, kicker is he's looking for around $24,000CAD for it... I mean I have it, I could pay it out right.. just ..yeah lol
You guys think thats too much? are the C5's faster than a Turbo SS?
Thing is I see C5 Z06' going for around the same price... granted with like 40,000mi on them though so I'm not sure which one to persue..and yes I know the interiors aren't GM's finest but that aside...

Thing is though think it would be better to hold out for a C5 Z06 for around the same price just with higher mileage?
Also aside from basic bolt ons I dont think I'd be going too crazy with the engine mods.

So I just go accepted an offer, now I dont know which one.
A Guy was asking 27K on a blue 2003 Z06, it's got 48,000Mi, exterior looks mint, interior as well aside from obvious drivers side seat usage.... I offered him 22K cert and etested so my question is would guys take...
2003 Torch red base with 6000Mi for $25,000 as is
Or
2003 Electron Blue, 48,000Mi Z06 for $22,000 Cert/etested

EDIT
Here's the Z06...which I just noticed now has a cracked rear bumper by the licence plate, I'll be running a car proof
Just noticed these cracks.. these cars are made of fiberglass? no Bueno :/
And the red one? well I dont have a pic, but my dad has known this guy forever...its a torch red corvette thats sat under a car cover for the last year and has barely been driven... basically looks like this stock photo
Also... no clue what I'd do with the Cobalt, it's been having electrical gremlins and has been pissing me off lately ...though thats not the reason I want something else, I'm just bored and want V8 RWD but the problems I'v been having compound that lol .... Will probably keep it anyways though it's at 141,000Mi right now so God knows whats gonna go soon cant wait for my engine to eat the turbo

You're right, OEM are 2 pipes spaced apart ...And thats why I come to you guys to ask car questions I know for certain the red car is 100% stock owned by an old accountant who bought it then got Arthritis and couldn't drive it ...sad yes

I would get the lower mileage one personally. Just remember that stuff for vetted is more expensive. My buddy just put new run flats on his car and I think they averaged close to $380 per tire.
A stock c5 can run the 1/4 at 13 flat. So if you are modded it won't be much quicker if any, but you can get big power out of them by modding them.

I'll be taking a look at the red one this weds and will snap some pics.
It's funny because I wasn't even considering a c5 before as I thought they were the shitty gen... but after looking into it I'm liking them more and more
Ugh seller of this blue car is being a total douche I asked him if he'd give me a car proof or give me his VIN... he got all pissy and defensive...then I asked if those were cracks on his rear bumper and he told me to get my eyes checked lol...then he went on about how he may change his mind on the price blah blah blah so I just said "GLWS"

That's what I thought as well. If they were to actually crack like that it would have likely been hit and there would be some other obvious signs between the cracks. But if he's acting uptight that's kind of sketchy.

z06
dont pay 27k for the 03 z06 thats way to expensive especially with the crack in the bumper. i bought an 04 torch red z06 with 22k miles for 25k at a dealer. and i wouldnt buy a base model ls6 is beast mode the z06 is still a fast car for todays car keeping up with z51 c7s and is faster then 5.0s and camaros ss easy.
