*URGENT* armrest
Hey guys.
I recently put up a post about swapping out center consoles to trade my console with an armrest for someones without. One of the members posted saying that I didn't need that, only the rear piece. Seeing this, I looked back there and started pulling ****. I noticed the arm rest came right off from pulling it up. The arm resr is still there however. How do you get it out? Do I have to pull it OUT, or unscrew something...?? And then after I get it out, what do I order at the dealership part number-wise? See, my girl has a base LS coupe, and she has a little tray and cupholders instead of a armrest and cupholders. That's how I want it. But hers is tan-ish grey and mine's black. So does the insert I need just snap into place? And does it go from being 2 pieces (armrest/cupholders) to just 1 piece (tray/cupholders)?
Thanks alot!!!!
Ok. just went to the dealership. The non-armrest part is just one piece, and is the exact same size as the 2 piece armrest and cupholders. So I'm assuming the 1 piece will snap in just like the 2 piece, just in 1 instead of 2. lol. So my main question I guess is how do you pull out the armrest. And how much is the new piece from the dealership? If it's more than 15 that's insane.

LOL I'll trade you mine.
I don't know how the armrest comes out, but mine snaps off, I know that much, but I don't know if it's in one piece or two. If I'm bored tonight maybe I'll try it and snap a pic.

Yeah, see because mine is a 2 piece (armrest and cupholders), and the one I want is a 1 piece (tray and cupholders). The reason I wanted to know was because I'd rather keep my armrest too for when I sell it, but I mean, if it's some retarded like 50 dollar piece then screw that. lol. But Itd seem like it'd work perfectly, I just don't know how to remove the armrest, and I didn't look at it long enough to figure it out. I just don't want to break anything. lol.
^^ Sounds good. I know the side pieces you are referring to. Aren't there like 2 screw or something on those? Just un-do those, pull them off, then unbolt the armrest? Then the new piece just pops right in place?

Any clue as to the part number or how much the new piece is? I know it wouldn't be hard to describe, but a part number is always easier.. And it better not be any more than 15 bucks. lol.
