08 SS rims in chrome
They're polished. Cheaper, but takes a lot of work to do and you have to keep up with them. As far as I know that's the closest anyone has come to chroming them. Looks pretty good to me. Black chrome has been done, and it looks SEXY.
They are polished and cost about $30 for aircraft paint remover, But plan on 15 to 20hrs of work to get a nice polish finish. Make sure your committed once you start cause its tedious work. Have some buddies over for beers and it will go a lot quicker
And the finish stays shiny for over a month and just needs a quick polish to bring back the shine. You could powdercoat clear and it would last for years.. Hope this helps you out and good luck if you do it.
