08+ SS Seat Covers

I am looking to see if there are any seat covers that fit the 08+ SS front seats that don't look like complete crap. The material on the seats is wearing (dealer is replacing under warranty) and I'd like to protect the new ones once installed. They can be all black or maybe black/red as the current seats are. I am looking for something that has an "ok" fit as I don't believe I will find something that fits perfectly without going custom.

Did you try that ScotchGuard stuff? I've heard it works wonders on preventing premature wear and tear.

I just said they were wearing and I am at 33k. They said they would replace the seat COVER, not the actual seat, perhaps that is why it was easier. They gave me no issues. I guess it depends on the dealership really.

wow... that's pretty cool.

Actually I thought mine were showing wear last summer, only to realise the insert material mats easily...
I use a meguires(?sp) cloth/upholstery cleaner and it looked new...

care to snap some pics for us?

I'll try to get some pics, but I don't think it will show up too well. It I think is just one of those things that you have to be there in person to see. Basically what the material is doing us glazing together. It's starting to get shiny.

that sounds exactly like what I've seen... and I was surprised to see that it was just the material matting because it was dirty.

I have this problem too, what kind of little brush do you use or do you use a towel to scrub it with?

I followed the instructions to a "T";

iirc, sprayed on, let it sit for a moment, then used a soft clean cloth to rub/wipe clean... worked like freaking magic!

cool...

I'm sure other products can be just about as good... actually come to think of it, I'm not even sure if mguires still makes the upholstery/cloth cleaner anymore...

White elephant gift exchange? Lol and I would've thout it would've been easier to swap the whole seat, but eh.....
My front seats jus look old.. Like I've had the car for 3 years instead of almost 1 lol

I would assume labor wise it is cheaper to swap the seat, but part wise it is much cheaper to just replace the cover. In the future I am going to look into this upholstery cleaner.
