I was gunna re-upholester my stockies with alcentera suede....but if these seats feel better I cam just gunna go with these.

****** killin me here, that was purrty funny.you don't have to cut up either seat... you just have to trim about 1 inch out of the bottom of the lower seat padding in the recaro.. the sensor just comes out from the stock seat.. there's a tutorial somewhere i'll attempt to find it for you

SO all I'd have to do is trim an inch of material from the recaros eh? this has gotten iinteresting all over again. Find the tutorial for me an dI just may look into the recaros again. Hmmm. Everywhere I've seen you gotta cut **** up and all that jazz. And how would I go about with the heated seats thing? would i lose them?

haha i cna't find his how to but someone else has one somewhere but i need sleep it's really not hard.. heatin the seats i'm not sure though because that was never an option with them i'm sure it could be worked out

I sat in em (HHR SS) on sunday. They aren't even close to the Recaro's! Recaro's Bolster waayyy better Uptop and on your legs! The New SS seats are pretty nice as far as make and fiber, but for performance, the Recaros Hold much better. + The passanger in the new seats has such little bolstering.
Oh, and have U seen how much GM wants for the new seats.... It was posted up in a thread along with the price for the new grille and turbo, its like $2K for both seats....

He evidently likes these new seats a lot more and finds them more "sportier" and supposedly more supportive than my stock leather seats. And that seems to be what people say here.
Now I was thinking I might do a interior swap (door panels, and seats) for the SS/TC seats in light gray. I'm pretty sure these seats will come with the heated seat options and the airbag sensors, correct? Will i run into any problems if I do decide to do this?

it would probably cheaper for you to take your car to a quality apholstry shop and get them to make them for you. seats and door panels. it going to cost an absurd amount to change it all over.and for what....whitesh grey seats that are going to get filthy constantly? personally its not worth it. look into your options an apholstry shop should only charge you about $100 per seat to redo the fabric of your choice.they will even build up the matereial for you to make them more comfy and firmer or whatever you want .look into it before ordering everything off a brand new model car ! good luck
i'm pretty sure he can find an ss t/c owner who wants leather seats instead of cloth..

Oh noes, zombie thread. I take it the 08 seats will fit in fine. I was just wondering where I could see pricing. Checked around GM parts direct and the like, and didn't find anything. Wondering if anyone had anything?
