Exactly what I was thinking. PFYC.com has oval mesh grilles in chrome for 'Balts, but the fit looks questionable in their photos. The Avalanche metal mesh grilles would be a great look IMO.

If I get some extra money on my hands, I might order the upper part for my LS.

Thanks for the bump.

Are you talking about a mesh grill or the plastic grill that comes on the SS/TC? Cause if you just want a mesh grill, go to Home Depot and pick up some gutter guard. Just search "custom mesh grille" on here and you should find a how to. It's a pretty nice mesh and will fit both grilles. Only difficulty is attaching the mesh to the stock plastic grille surround. I ended up using a combination of hot glue and liquid nails, but it's still not perfect. Although I think my grille looks better than the SS/TC's, I don't think it was worth the trouble.

GM currently has the clips for the lower grille on back order. I have a couple of orders out there, I will ship as soon as I receive the clips.

so my parts dpt can get me the lower grill, but they have to get the clips from GM which can take weeks... so will any normal grill clip work? im sure my bodyshop has some clips...

I've heard the clips are on back order. As long as what you use holds the grille in place -- the grille by itself will not stay in the fascia opening. It is not like the original SS/NA grille, as it does not snap into place nor are there any plastic self locking clips along the edging.
