09 SS/TC FOG LIGHT (stock yellow to clear) LENSE
09 SS/TC FOG LIGHT (stock yellow to clear) LENSE
I have a 09 SS/TC...
I changed the factory bulbs with PIAA "whites" ...
I found that ther was no change in the color, it was however brighter.
QUESTION: Is there a ****-yellow coating on the stock lenses of the fog lamps???
I plan on having installed 6k HID's installed... but before I do that... am I going to run into the same problem with the yellow tint of the stock lenses discoloring?
CAN you change the lense?
IF SO... where can you purchase a new CLEAR lense?
Please help... I wanna get this ordered asap.
(fyi - trying to get it to match my 6k hid's which I run as my headlights)
thanks all in advance.

rochester ny, mn? which state?
I dont think there is any coating on the fog light projectors. they look clear to me and show standard "white" light when my lights are on. No you cant change the lens. just wait till you get the hid's.

They throw a decent light... however when you physically look and compare they have a ****-yellow tint to it... like most stock lights have.
I don't wanna throw the HID's in the housing to have them not have the same look as the top's... and I don't see how that is possible with the lense not being clear.
you can't throw a pure white light behind anything that is not clear and expect to have the same results. *shrug*
