20% tints.

Just wanted to see how many of you got 20% tints all around on their car where it is illegal and actually have had problems with the cops. I hope all be all set. At first they looked REALLY dark, but after a while they didn't seem that bad.

Anyone?

ive got them on my car, and its illegal here in michigan. im not sure if its like this in ur state, but here in michigan, if u have an eye doctor and hes pretty cool try to get him to write u up a prescription that says ur eyes are sensitive to the sun and that bullshit. thats what i did and its supposed to work if a cop pulls u over. luckily i havnt had to test it but i kno it works cuz the guy who installed my tint has had to use it before.

I have 20 all around and both states i live in (NY and RI) legal limit is 70. I have been pulled over but not for the tints. I have been looked at by cops, i have been followed by cops, and I have been side by side with cops with no problems

Do you have a picture from the front straight on to show the tinted visor? Thanks... I'm thinking about doing the same thing you did...

I live in miami, so the leagal limit usally doesnt really matter. I have 20%...on top of 5% that is in the front. And 5% on top of 5% on the back and eye brows. Needless to say its dark and in the scortching heat of miami, i wish i could somehow have the fronts darker during the day and lighten up at night. O well...it works and still no tickets...

My camaro had 12% (i know kinda odd number) all around and I never had problems. Getting the 'balt tinted in the next few weeks because the temperature is starting to stay over 90 pretty much all day now.

I'v had 20% all around on my 97 contour for about 5 months now. When you take into account the fact that it's black, with 225/50/15 tires, on chrome 3 spoke wheeles, with the tint it stands out more then most contours. I had a cop follow me into work once and just tell me it was to dark but other then that nothing.

Live in Ohio where 50% is max for the front 2 windows.

i just called to get my mine tinted and he said that on cobalts and Chevy's the rear windshield does not usually tint right due to those dots on the top of the rear windshield. he said that the tint wont stick to the top and those dots will cause bubbles. also that the top will look different then the rest of the cars tint.. does anybody have a picture of the rear windshield tinted on a black ss sc?

Interesting... I do have this, and as it has cured it has pulled more taught and looks better than when I first got it. I have taken my finger to it just about everyday to compress it and it is working so far. From the drivers seat you can't see it. and can only see it if you look closely

u need a good tinter :P

the guy that did mine used a special chemical to help seal the black dots to the tint. i have no bubbles and it's just one smooth tint on the entire rear window. i'll get some pics. just find someone that reallllly knows what they are doing.
