2009 Cobalt LS Upgrade to SS

If anyone can help/guide me at all I would greatly appreciate it. I have a 2009 2dr Cobalt ls. I am looking to upgrade exterior to look like the Cobalt SS. If anyone can help me by making a list of all the things to upgrade or anything you might think will help me please post! Thanks in advance for your help.

You will never have the same feel/look/performance of an SS unless thousands of dollars are spent or you just trade it in for a SS model. Once you get a SS you can just spend under 1k and have a nasty little highway killer

If you wanted an SS, why not just get one in the first place?

He'll probably spend more making his LS into an SS. Not to mention labour.

Exactly. And even after all the money and time in making it look like an SS it will still not feel like one.

He said he wants it to LOOK like an SS. If he was going for performance I agree, trade it in.

Of course my long term plan with my SS is to give it some SS personality down the road.

For the appearance of an SS, looking at front and rear bumper changes, side skirts, emblems. I'll let others add to the list

this... some people dont give a damn about performance, like the people who buy V6 "muslce" cars, they dont mind having an overweight pig, they just want people to THINK its fast.

Thank you for all feedback so far. As to everyone that says to trade it in, I am still contemplating that. As to the labor, I have plenty of time on my hands to work on the car. I have spent all day today cleaning it and making it look brand new.

As I said I have a 2009 car and all the people that are selling there SS cobalts are selling 06-07 for the most part with quite a few miles on them. The 08-09 ones they are asking 10 grand and up. I just don't have the money right now. I guess I could always save... Anyway I am about performance as well and was looking into seeing what people were doing to there Eco techs besides K&N Filters which I think for the most part are a waste of money.

*** I wish I would have gotten an SS in the first place but I can not cry over spilled milk.

Just don't put SS emblems on your LS.

My faves are the stock base models with the SS wings still on 4x4 stance haha.

There is nothing wrong at all with improving your ride as you have money available to do so. There are a lot of guys and gals on this site that have done SS lip kits, skirts, wings, tail kits, superchargers, turbos, and whatnot to look better and run faster. If that's what you want to do then go for it.

Sorry but why would I not do that? That would be the finishing touch... The goal would be to make it look exactly like an SS lol

No. It's not an SS. Don't put SS badges on it.
