he put them in the oven to soften the glue, then pulled the lenses off, and painted the chrome bezel. Cheap easy way for blacked out headlights.

He took them apart (by heating in an oven), sanded, and painted them black.

You could paint the lip white mebe? lol

thanks the finish on it is sweet it feels like almost powder coated and it cleans easily, the previous owner let the engine bay go and it had a ton of dirt sunk into the cast aluminum, it looks brand new.

And thanks for the approval on my handy work.

That's what I thought, but it was just so wet and dark. [[ba dum tiss]]

Thanks. I plan on doing the same to my bumper!

i just used packaging tape when i taped it off and i did like 4 coats and it helps if the car is jacked up so your not laying on the ground painting but it looks so much better in my opinion and it hide the crack from the previous owner.

what kind of wheel paint did you use on the S/C? I know the rustoleum wheel paint requires both a base and clear coat. if that's the kind of paint you used, and you only painted the base coat, id get some clear on that S/C asap, or it wont last very long.

did you put your housings in the oven with the bulbs still in there? surprised they didn't burst on you. Everything looks tasteful so far. I would suggest taking off the wing and plugging the holes (or swap).
