3K will be yellow and 4300 is pure white

yellow will pierce the fog a little better

Troof, but most people don't use their fogs for fog. If you plan on having them on all the time, might as well get 4300.

ya, don't get 3000k for normal low beam use, use them in fogs. 4300k are the way to go for low beam use, you'll be able to see much better. 3000k is ONLY better in fog and heavy rain.

3000k Foglights ^^

4100k Foglights ^^

Side Note: Simple Rule of Light. Fog is a mist made of tiny particulates of air condensation. Call it really really fine rain. Water typically causes a glare. The lower the "color" of the light, the more contrast it will have and the less reflection you have. It depends on your application. When I do a retrofit for my wife's Nissan, She's getting Pink HID Foglights and 5000k 55W HIDs Bi-Xenon. We occassionally have fog here but not often enough to say, I need a special color of light because I see it so often. Foglights are best used on country roads surrounded by woods or farms where air temperatures will fluctuate wildly 10-20 degrees within 100 - 200 feet of terrain change.

By the way, The answer to your question is in the STICKIES!
