It is super easy to do.

Pop the hood...there should be two 10mm(i think) bolts you undo.

Then you pull the headlight out. I suggest pushing the inside part of the light while pulling the outside. Lettme make a paint pick real quick

If you look close at the pic you can see where I scractched my car.

I happens but you can't tell. Unless a jackass takes a pic that close.

The bulb has a pretty big base you can use your hands.

You can touch the bulb by accident or whatever, just don't hold it in your hand for an hour

just a couple things to add to this thread. if you get clue colored bulbs, you are basically filering out all of the color spectrum except for the blue, and you lights will not be as bright, and because of the loss of light wavelength, you will lose the distance that the lights will cover, and they will SUCK in fog.

and if you want to run hid's and still have highbeams, there is a kit ive seen that does it.
its really wierd it does some sorta extendy thing. imo if you want the awesome that is ultrawhite/blue hid like i do, look them up, cause the colored bulbs arent safe. and you want your brights.

What, a retrofit?

I completely agree. But sticking an HID bulb in a stock housing with no projector is bad pie.

Even aimed low they pwn oncoming traffic.

The problem is, is the halogen housing was never meant to reflect that much light.

The Lexus/Acura ones that do have HIDs without projectors have special reflective housings AND have slightly tinted blue plastic instead of clear.

this is why i hate hid, theres so much you have to do to get it right, between mounting the banisters (or whatever the hell their called) and making sure they are safe for you and traffic and stuff... sometimes i wish that guy in the store never told me that hid was more then just blue bulbs a year ago... then id have those blue bulbs, and be happy and oblivious...

A retrofit is a PITA.

BUT!

Nothing looks as good as them

You are aware there are three styles of projectors?

ALSO we have vendor here on our site that hand makes retrofits.

They are top dollar but look nice as hell

good way to get pulled over and blind people, ether get projectors or dont get HID, pisses me off when I see a car blinding the **** out of me with HID in there stock housing! Just get the sliver star bulbs if you just want the cool looking blue tint.
