Aftermarket seat fitment

Was looking into a couple aftermarket seats as we find them quite uncomfortable on longer trips. Been doing some looking around on the net and most of the seats say "universal" brackets. I tried installing a pair in a car i used to own (grand am gt) and ended up having to bolt to the car. I have been told that you can use the stock brackets just unbolt them from the original seats to the bottoms of the racing seat.

In doing this do you use the original sliders? or the aftermarket ones? Has anyone done this swap with a cheaper set of seats. Was looking at a few ebay ones for around 250-350 range. Dont wanna spend much incase they are worse. Also is there a recommended site for seats? Preferably in Canada. Looked for this on the search but couldnt find confirmed info.

Thanks.

i made a how-to on this, i havnt look at them in a while but im pretty sure you cant use the stock brakets unless you cut up the stock seats. but the seats you buy should come with sliders and height adjustments.
