Antenna for my car, Onstar ?
Hey after reading about everyones antenna mod I walked out to the garage and noticed that the stock one is actually really ugly, and just plain sucks. Probably would not have noticed it if nobody mentioned it.....
Anyway so now I have to chage it out. Wondering what everyone used, and how is the reception since they changed it. I really dont listen to the radio much since it has XM and I have a Sirius unit wired into the car already, but I still want good reception. Is there any way to tie it into the Onstar antenna....
Speaking of Onstar I am curious how many people stay with the basic onstar package, or upgrade. I am thinking of adding the directions package but really wanted to know from someone who has it is it any good. My Murano has Navi and I use it all the time so I would like something similar in this car. How does it work???

Ok so I just realized I have another ? ...... this may be stupid but what is the dotted stuff in the top of my windshield on the inside? I assumed it was an antenna, but now that I realized there is an outside one I am not sure what it is, other then just looks or sun shade? Sorry if this is a DUH?

huh interesting maybe I will try to email him and see what he has to say. I will let you know, in the mean time anybody who has one feel free to chime in. Maybe I will just order it and be the test pig.

Update on the billet antenna! I got a respose from the seller and this is what he said.

Kevin, the length is the factor. The 15 or 18 work as good as stock, the shorter you go the worse it will get. "
So I am thinking I am going to get the antennax one, but I am curious which length most are using? My preference would be the shorter one, but curious what everyone else uses.
