Ok guys here's the deal......me and my fiance will be purchasing a pair of headlights very soon. I was thinking about doing something like an exchange type deal. Basically I paint the first pair and then whoever wants to buy them I will send them the painted ones and they will send me theirs. It would kind of work like chromeexchange.com Only I will give people a choice wether they want them color matched to their car or tinted. What do you guys think? Any interest?

I would probably charge around $50 - $70

$50-$70 is a killer deal for the work involved for the people who dont have the means or skill . Not thats its hard , its just a big PITA to do it perfectly and get them sealed right .

 

Does anyone think matching red would go good with my headlights or should i just get black done?

 

I'm going to let everyone know that the black is going to be the cheapest....haven't gotten exact prices on color matched yet but will keep everyone updated

i'd be interested if i keep my car, i'd want mine like the yellow pictured but with flat black instead and i like the chrome rings around the lights themselves.

would you do spray tinting on the square amber piece and remove the round one too??

 

I always use the Corvette as an example for people wanting to body color match their bezels. Go to Chevy's website and play around with the colors. At first I didn't like it but it has grown on me.

If you are just painting the bezel and keeping the halogen reflector I think it would look nice. But if you are retrofitting a projector to replace the reflector, that's a lot of room to fill in our huge headlamps and I would probably go black. But I don't know. I would have to see a red/red and a red/black to compare.

If you really want to be daring do Pink bezel on Red Body. I'm sure that would really turn some heads (and make some people vomit)
