"Any suggestions on bodykits for Cobalts"
personally i think that the stock ss ground effect are jus fine. it looks clean without being over the top jus my opinion. but since thats not what you asked i do agree with tmrredline about the gravana kit its ok also i noticed that no one metioned the grip tuning kit(http://www.griptuning.com/showProduc...rtNum=GT6-1011 A)...its decent i guess. but again i think the ss kit looks the best
ill give you a straight up honest answer to what i think here.....you dont wanna spend money on an oem ss kit but your willing to spend money on a complete body kit that needs tons of work to make fit right and look good. im going to go out on a limb here but it sounds like you have no clue in what body work entails on some of these kits. it might sound like an ignorant to say but ill call it as i see it. take it from someone who does body work for a living and has worked on these kits first hand. them kits always have a ton of pin holes, waves, sometimes cracks etc. hell even a lot of body kit companies say the kits need to be modified for a good fit. ive had parts come that are to long to be on the car by literally 4-8" or to short by x amount or parts where i can fit my hand through a hood hap literally. it takes a lot of sending and recieving to get a good quality body kit that fits right. so basically your going to pay a shop to do a lot of filler work, trimming, blocking, priming just to get your kit to look right and then paint on top of it......$$$$$$$$$$......... by the time you spend all of that cash on a body kit you will equal the amount of an oem ss kit or surpass it.
Well you obviously already have your mind set on the gtr viber bodykit just go with it but don't come complaing when it doesn't fit and looks bad or costs you a ton of money to have a body shop put it on. TRUST ME i see it all the time, I've worked in a body shop for quite a few years now and haven't yet been lucky enough to install a body kit that fits nicely.
When he wants to misbadge his car then yes, im gonna pick on him. Its bad enough most people dont know what an SS actually is.
any body kit on a cobalt is usually horendous with the exception of a few cobalts that came out really amazing
with that being said, you are not an SS so i dont suggest an SS body kit swap
(i think its tacky since it will never be a true SS no matter what you do to it)
as for the lip kit i only like the GM lip kit
you can go talk to your dealer and see if they will give it to you for the shop price ($850 plus tax)
heres a pic of the black GM lip kit on my 07 white LT

i agree that the OEM kit looks the best. but in twizted's case, if you don't like the whole "show car" look then that kind of kit isn't for you. otherwise, it look's great on twizted's car.
ew, he misbadged his car, hahah. i've got an '06 sedan ss n/c and sometimes i don't think it even deserves the SS emblems, 'cause it's not boosted.
