Anyone ever paint they're lip kit?

Was thinkin of painting my lip kit black on my yellow balt, anyone done this before? Pics?

It's been done before but i don't believe on yellow

I've seen pics of people who painted the lips and skirts silver to resemble the Monte Carlos or older Z24s, that's about it.

the problem i see with this is, if you got a yellow balt or any color, and you go and paint the whole lip black, its gonna make the car look more like a base model at a glance (it will look like you don't have a lip kit) thats why most ppl just do evo mods, cuz u can still see the rest of the lip there, instead of creating the illusion that its not.

Hmm I don't know about the illusion it is not there, maybe after work ill photo shop it and see

right! u cant fully see the orange one but at a glance it looks like a base model. i'd say, if ur gonna paint the lips, do a color, thats all. not that much really mixes with yellow...

idk mines silver, i wanted originally to paint the lips red, or the top 'face' of the lips..

a guy that lives somewhere around me has a black cobalt with the ground effects painted a maroon color

the rims are black with a maroon lip

doesnt look to bad

What about a flat black and a silver pin stripe seperating the yellow and black? Or white pin stripe maybe

i painted the front lip i got flat black solely because it's going to get mashed on everything and will be easy to touch up. ive always hated the whole 2 tone lip kit though. it looks like you bought it off another car, and were too cheap to get it painted.
