im just curious to see if anyone on here has ever painted their Turbo SS......and id love to see some pics of the prep work(taping, parts removal, sanding).

I would also like to know, price, amount of hours, type of paintand anything else that you could think of?

this is almost a Part 2 to my first thrad that got posted like 2 mins ago.

I dont drive my car in the winter or very much in a year period, so I was just curious to know how everyones paint is holding up on their Turbo SS?

high milage, low milage, Canadian Winters, Hot Texas Summers......lemme know cause id love to know the differences that people around North America are finding

 

I've seen very few, there are a few two tone ones I can think of.. But basically repainting a car takes hella time, or hella money, but usually both

 

Yeah, one guy on here painted his yellow LNF a nice bright orange.

Paint held up relatively well for this caliber of car on my 2.4 through 2 winters. No major complaints.

 

Why a turbo ss?

 

my car has spent time between Ohio (where i bought it from) and Texas (where i live) and the paint still looks new basically.. Im not sure if was driven much in Ohio winter though, it did have low mileage

 

meh.......I just say Turbo SS because thats what I have and aybe for all I know GM used a different paint company on the Turbocharged models???

one thing is for sure.......if I do paint my car im gonna put ALOT more clear code on it than GM does

there is no such of a chevy turbo ss.
you could of just asked if anyone painted their cobalt. it doesnt matter if its a L61 LSJ LNF LAP or LE5 if your refering to the LNF you would of wanted to say SS/TC

Isnt painting a car the same as any car??

Or does a ss/tc have a special way of doing it...just because its the ss/tc?
