If you want custom interior I would just fiberglass the trim pieces myself and paint them.

Smitty if you like the way it looks and would be happy with it go for it. I put the red trim in my victory red SS/NA and it looks great. In a blue car the blue thunderbolt pattern acually looks good from the pictures. If I had a yellow car I would put in the yellow thunderbolts.
I was hesitant to go with the red because I hadn't seen it in a car but now that I have it in the car I'm very happy with it. Pictures do not do it justice -- in person it looks sharp.

wow that red does look really nice.

I'll agree it does seem a bit expensive, but i figured it was hand painted or something. either way, black+blue interior will be sweet imo. and plus 200$ isnt that much money in the end anyways, just a few green pieces of paper. I could buy something to make my car look good or blow it at the bar in 1 night, but I actually get to keep the former.

edit: my car is actually black so im not 100% sure about the interior. could go either way at this point.

Yea, I'm not sure it would look good in a black car. It does have a black base with the blue thunderbolts sprayed on top. BTW the finish is excellent on these pieces, no "orange peel" they're as smooth as glass.

The other guys posting remind me of when I posted pictures of my LS with the LED alteeza clear-eyes taillights from CobatPerformanceParts. Most of 'em said the taillights were ugly, but then some company mistakenly listed their LED alteeza taillights for $13 and they all jumped to buy them -- I wonder if too much $ makes things ugly to some

Overpriced... I painted mine with a spray can... looks just as good... cost like $10 for a can of red, a can of clear, and some sandpaper. See my garage for pics.

What do you think would be the best interior for a black car. I like red or blue, but i guess im not against yellow either if its done nicely. im probly gonna paint my calipers red, and have a red accent or two on the outside of my car. so I wanna keep it all together and not have random color everywhere.

and plus that red does look really nice. lol. still looking for pics of the blue if anyone has it.

Really you could do any color you wanted with black. I've seen red and blue in person... both look pretty good.

It's up to you.

first of all: how can you say that red looks trashy in his car? it looks clean as hell.

second of all: you cannot get the same look with spray paint, the best you can do is solid red. and its probly gonna peel and fade eventually if you don't clear coat it enough.

Not everybody has the place, or time, to do a good job. How cheap are you - If you count up the hours it took to do a good job suddenly $200 for the whole job doesn't sound too bad. Plus there is a possibility of breaking a clip when removing your original pieces. And you forgot to include: polishing compound, cloth buffing rags, clean up, etc. etc.

Obviously you haven't seen the set in a car in person yet. They look very sharp in person.

If you were to paint or lay a vinyl pattern (stripes or graphic) then whatever color the stripe/graphic is would work in the interior.

I have all of the red interior inserts in my car and I think it looks great! They are replacement trim ( not cheap ) and really adds a finishing touch to the drab interior. I am not a big fan of the lightning pattern in the blue and yellow though.

I had the same opinion on the thunderbolt pattern until I actually saw them in a Cobalt. The blue thunderbolt pieces really surprised me when I first saw them in a blue 'balt w/black interior -- not sure they would look good with light gray interior.

Well I have just the yellow bezels cause I didn't know if I want to do all of it and didn't know how it look. The main reason I went with these was I still have the oem bezels and if I needed to change them back to factory I still could. I too think over time the ones that are hand painted will wear out and look like crap over the years. It's pretty much your personal oppinion. I too would agree that when taking pictures they look like crap but in the car is a whole different story. I say if you have the cash go for it. If not and want to go the cheap way then go that route. It's your car do what you want. Nothing wrong with asking everyone's oppinion's. Their just like *******'s, everyone has one, and their never going to agree.

Would you post a picture of your yellow bezels? I know the pictures aren't the best for judging but I have only seen the CED shots of them.

when i was shopping around for my sc, i saw one with the yellow interior pieces. it was pretty sharp, although it didn't quite match the intensity of the rally yellow paint. i can't say the same for blue since i haven't seen that color, but if they have a smooth finish like people say they do, then it will look better than stock for sure.

$200 is quite a pretty penny. it's not a lot to make it look nice, it's just a lot for what it is... interior trim panels. if you use the right sandpaper (800 grit+) and take your time to sand them super smooth, then apply several light coats of your color of choice with a few coats of laquer, it can look as nice for much much less. i made fiberglass pods for my front speakers in my (soon to be sold thank god) '95 t-bird and painted them black. they are the shiniest thing in/on the car lmao!

if you use premium rustoleum paint (can;t remember exactly what it was called... high endurance, professional something or other) it is very, very durable. i can take my fingernails and try to scratch it up and nothing happens. try it, worst case scenario is you do a lousy job and get the panels anyway!
