blackcatcustom.com is the website that makes them and you can customize it the way you want. its the same maker as the ones on that ebay page.

and if you added the led conversion, it would be even better. i am looking at the white face gauge with blue led and it looks amazing. they make really nice products.

http://www.blackcatcustom.com/chevrolet_cobalt.htm Been debating weather to order one. Like dragonslayer said you can customize it. Kinda expensive if you go all out and get leds and all that.

You can get them from 120 to 160 and you can put your name or whatever . It doesn't have to say SS or supercharged. You can get cobalt or whatever

^^^ Use that link, not ebay, you can customize your gauges to look however you want. And, you can get a speedo that reads 140 not 160. If you got the 160 one it would always be off.

vvv this is from black cat customs

Looks like you shouldn't use the supercharged one cause the sweep is about the same as your 140 and would be off.
Ask them if they make one for your car with 160, where they have added numbers on past the stock 140.

The ebay one sounds like it is easier to install. The one I got is a new overlay, it doesnt just sit on top, you have to take out the old paper/plastic "gauges" and then put in the new ones. The good thing about mine, the numbers and DIC light up red now

I thought that you could get the speedo reprogrammed? Get it changed so the SC face would work? Hell I don't know, just an idea.

well the gearing in the dash goes by the wheels turning. so i dont think it would throw it off. ive seen civics with 200 mph ones.. even tho they can barely hit 100

you could get a cluster from a ss/sc, but not sure if you would have to change the computer or not to read the actual mph.

I thought I read somewhere that the computer could be adjusted to make up for diff tire/wheel combos? That would be a small change and you'd need like 10% so I don't know if it's possible. Just an idea, I'm no expert.
