AVS Tail Light

Aight guys, sorry i've tried searching but I can't find what I am looking for. I just got mine in the mail. I read that some of you guys have used clear silicon sealer to seal them so that they arent shaded different where the tape is.

If anyone who did this see this post, let me know where you put the silicon. Did you put it where the tape was? or have any of you installed them differently?

Thanks guys.

Sweet, thanks Bee.... I thought it was you that did it but I wasnt sure. I have the DAP sealant that I used for my headlights (which BTW stood up to the incredibly massive rain and hale we had yesterday... installed last weekend and zero precip in them)

I'll def be doing this later.

I kept the tape on there, but I painted them gloss black first. If that's another idea for you.

All right, they are on, but there is some excess residue on the surfaces. Whats the best way to get that sealant crap off? I tried my bug and tar remover, but I think it was still too fresh. any ideas?
