I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can get black bowties or lettering anywere or if I would have to just paint my current ones. Thanks.

painting them works fine, mine are gunmetal and they look amazing. Just prep them good and they will look good.

By prep im gonna guess you mean sand and prime. Are both steps needed? How did you do yours?

both steps are def. needed!! anything you paint pretty much you want to do both or you might as well not paint because it will chip and look bad. Basically sand, prime, let dry,(look to determine if some sanding is needed, not always tho) prime again, 1st coat color, smooth sand, second coat color, third coat color, clear coat
