Baked Headlights?

Anyone that's baked and cleared out your headlight, can you please give me some instructions i.e. temperature, times, technique etc... If it's already posted somewhere please send me a link. Thanks!

I suggest you don't put them in the oven. A hairdryer and half an hour will do just fine!

I think I am going to try the hair dryer technique, it just seems a little safer. Probably going to start tonight, will post pics later! Thanks guys.

I did and the only instructions were for a blow dryer, not specific oven temps and times, if you don't got anything to help in a constructive way, just keep it to yourself. See all these comments above, thank you to those people who actually give a crap about helping other and their car inquiries. It's suppose to be a calm friendly environment, not idiots who just always have to put there 2 cents in and insult other people! Was that little comment really worth it? Do you feel big and strong now?

When I baked the headlights on my old car I put them in the oven between 150 and 200 for a little while. Keep an eye on them and pull them out when they are dry. Don't go much higher than 200 cause they may melt or bubble

thanks for the info...........................when you painted the headlights....was it a pain to detach all the bulbs and such from the housing...how about putting it back together, and how long about did this take without the time waiting for the paint to dry

Ive heard rumor's of wrapping the headlight in tin foil actually helps heat it up quicker without worrying about melting the lense?

Anyone try it this way?

its easy

this is a really easy mod to do. 200 degress for 10 min is fine. the lights come apart very easy its real simple. the lights come out easy just be smooth. be very carefeul and use a steady hand to not break any plastic peices.
i posted my pic in the gallery. check em out tell me waht you think.

Nice looks clean. What are those buttons on the side of the console? I don't think I am going to paint my black cause the color of my car, maybe color match it or just leave it clear.
