Best Antenna

What is the best/smallest antenna out there? The stock one is ugly as hell.

Also, is there an information thread on the "EVO mod" paint job? The only one I've seen was for non- SS cars.

Or you can do what i did, and get a antenna delete(aka cut it down to the base, and grind it smooth then paint it) then get a digital (powered) antenna and mount it above the rearview mirror. Its small enough that its not visible inside or outside of the car.

This is almost what mine looks like:

The MPX and the ARK one's are both good, can't go wrong with either

The MPX one is a tad bit smaller...by like .5" or something

I've got the MPx on my '10 TC now.

I had a C5 corvette shorty antenna on my '06 SC

Neither gave me a problem with reception.

Better make sure you grip the base inside the trunk as well. I didn't, and now I have a broken antenna. Gonna get it shaved completely when I get my tjin trunk painted.

I have the ARK. Can't really comment on the reception because I only listen to XM. Looks good though.

Depends on the strength of your local stations. I cut the entire mast off of a stock antenna and just used the base, worked fine. But i'm in a huge city with very powerful radio stations that are still close. If you live out in the country and there is terrain blocking or whatever, i'd imagine you still would have problems.

The best is the stock one. The best smallest is probably the mpx one.

Even worse because you still have the stock one.

Just take a hack saw to the stock one, put a lil cap on it, problem solved.

The ***** listens to the radio anyways.

The antenna base is still quite large. To add a 2 foot antenna to the roof but still have the stock one... well... to each his own I suppose.

Yeah...and the base looks goofy just chillin there...if you're going to relocate to the roof...that base has to be shaved...otherwise..well...it's weird looking.
