best hedlights/foglights?

Hey guys,

I have Silverstar H/L's and corners in my coupe right now. I still have the factory bulbs in the fogs because if you get Silverstars they're like 40 for both. Yeah...right. I like the silverstars, but my problem is they don't look aftermarket from outside. Sure, they're whiter and not yellowish, which is nice. But my Eurolite ones in my 93 Accord were white with a slight blue tint and they looked real nice. They were good lights. I had Nokyas in my 89 Cadillac and they were so blue you couldn't see anything. I replaced them with Nighthawks and they were similar to Silverstars.

now, I know there's guys who have HID conversions and who've used other lights. Any input? And price is definately important. I'm not spending a grand to replace my damn headlight bulbs. and as always, a pic is always worth a thousand words!

Let's see 'em!

I currently have the Luminics Titanium White headlights and foglights on my Cobalt. But, I just got 8000K HID headlights since visibility with the other ones decreased from stock. I'm sticking with their foglights though. Price was about $75 for both the headlights and fogs.

Yea, they look similiar to the Silverstars. I know the HID headlights are about $225 and the fogs are the same I think, not positive on that. But I got mine off a fellow member here so got them for less . The Luminics were nice for the price, but they cut down visibility a good bit in my opinion over the stock bulbs. Hope that helps you decide.

Yeah, I did notice that alot of aftermarket bulbs are dimmer than factory ones.

You can get HID conversion kits for almost any car, you just need to match up the bulb numbers from you stock headlights and foglights. A lot of the HID kits are just plug and play and don't require much work to put them in.

Yeah, the Cobalt is 9007's and my Monte is the 9004/9005's I believe. So I just buy one for 9005 and one for 9004 then choose what kelvin I want? lol.

9004 is for headlights and 9005 for fogs? If so, then yes, you would just buy a set for each bulb type and choose what Kelvin you want. Check out Vision Bulbs or Street Badges (not sure if they have for the Monte tho) for when your ready to get them. Vision Bulbs has pics of the different Kelvin temps. on their site too, hepls to make the decision easier.

www.streetbadges.com if you want them for the cobalt or your G5 you'll want the 9007 kit, either the 8000k or 6000k . and the foglights are H11's.

Thats where to get them at for the Cobalt and G5 for sure. You don't have to do both the headlights and foglights, you can do one or the other, I'm just doing the headlights right now. And Video2402, got the HID's today from the post office and everything appears to be good, you had that box wrapped up ridiculously well. Love the T-shirt by the way . Thanks again.

Perfect time to use it then. Also, I can't find that thread you made about making recomendations for parts that members would like to see be developed by Street Badges. I would like to see similar parts that ShowMeStreetCustoms had (fuel rail cover, fuse box cover, etc.), I would get from them, but I have read people having problems with them recently. Just a suggestion.

6K is more white, 8K is more blue. I believe the 6K HID's are brighter, correct me if I'm wrong tho guys. I like both, so its more of a judgement call on whether you want white or blue. Either one gets .

Those are PpAzZ's headlights, they've got a noticable blue tint to them - they look REALLY good in person.
