take a lighter to some plastidip, it burns. and yes I have touched my exhaust tip on a hot day and the ****** was hot.

people were plastidipping their headlight lenses and it was melting off there. you ever feel your headlight its not like it burns your hand. exhaust is hotter

drive train solutions used high heat paint like someone with some sense

312F before it starts melting. You guy also think your headlights are that hot? An average lighter burns 450F so yes plastidip will light on fire. Doesn't this now make sense garret?

I've touched my exhaust tip, and it damn sure wasn't 300 degrees

An open flame to it?

$20 heat gun can reach up to 840F. I don't see your exhaust tip getting red hot.

Go with a black chrome tip they look pretty sweet. On my old car(black) I had new exhaust built for it and ordered oval shapped black chrome tips that looked good but the company sent the wrong thing and I couldn't stand the wait any longer so I just used the tips they. Sent me. Wish I'd have waited.

My eyelids have been plastidipped over a year now... not a single problem. Could be the projectors, even though they also get pretty hot...

Update plasti dip failed. Didn't peel but pitted after about 100 miles. I pulled it off and used high temp paint.
