Black Headlights

Saw these on Ebay today, what does everyone think?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06...QQcmdZViewItem

It basically looks factory only they were painted flat black. I was wanting to do black headlights, but I was too afraid to ruin my stock headlights. So maybe this would be an alternative.

What do you guys think? also, maybe I can "try out these" and take them apart to paint them a gloss black to match my car, and then if I messed up I would still have the stock headlights to use. Thanks for comments and suggestions.

I like 'em. Just wish they weren't so expensive. You could do it yourself but i'd rather not take the chance of disassembling my headlight assy. IMO too much money for the end result.

It looks to me that someone just molded some black plastic over the headlights, and not painted them or molded the assembly out of black plastic. Either way, they sure don't look painted to me.

you know what would be cheaper/more fun? buy a set of used headlights off ebay and use those to do what you wish...and if you screw up, youre not out that much...plus you still have a perfectly good stock set to put back in the car

I don't like projectors, with all the problems I've been reading and don't want to do like everyone else. I just need to find some freaking 2007 headlights and i'll be a happy camper. That and to get somebody to spray paint the same color as I have no patience at all

Are they easy to take out those freaking orange thingy ? Or you have to sqeeze them out. If not, I'm just going to do it myself or at least try.

all you do is when the headlight housing is apart you put a screw driver or something long and sturdy that fits in the hole (<<that sounds really gross) and hit the top with a hammer. it pops right out.
