you might consider ordering a second set of SS emblems from e-bay or whatnot... get 'em how you like 'em... then replace the factory ones with your new ones.

Beck--> I meant find some of the Cobalt SS emblems and paint them... then put them on... might be easier than sitting in the driveway all afternoon with a little brush trying to get it to look right.
